Just a sentimental man...

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband
was not in their bed.

She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him.
She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.
She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.
'What's the matter, dear?' she whispers as she steps into the room, 'Why are you down here at this time of night?'
The husband looks up from his coffee, 'I am just remembering when we first met 20 years ago and started dating. You were only 16. Do you remember back then?' he says solemnly.
The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.
'Yes, I do' she replies.
The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily..
'Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?'
'Yes, I remember!' said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.
The husband continues. 'Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?'
'I remember that too' she replies softly.
He wipes another tear from his cheek and says...
'I would have been released today. '

Now tell me that's NOT funny:)

You know it's time to organize when...

You know it's time to start organizing your Man cave when you have to start worrying about dead wild animals. Last week I was working on my Barracuda a little when I thought I noticed a big rat move across an open space. That kind of freaked me out, cause, well, who wants a potentially rabid animal wandering around their garage? I looked for it but didn't find anything, so I just chalked it up to an overactive imagination and too many beers.

Last night I got home and found the "rat" - it was actually a baby rabbit. I don't know HOW it got into the Man Cave, but I couldn't get it to leave. I opened both doors and tried to shoo him out, but all he'd do is hide under the Barracuda or behind my workbench every time I got close. Kinda felt sorry for him - I knew he'd probablde with no food or water for at least a week. I didn't want to leave the door open all night because then some more critters might wander in. So I set out a plate of spinach so at least he'd have something to eat...

Well, when I went to go to work this morning the spinach was untouched and the poor little thing had expired. I found him laying next to the S2000 just like he'd fallen asleep and never woke up. I was sad theat he died because my son (8 year old) was really concerned that he'd be OK - he even called me at work today to ask if the rabbit had found the food we left out for him. I lied and told him the rabbit ran out of the garage when I opened the door. I'm also glad the rabbit decided to take his final sleep where I'd see him, instead of somewhere hidden and hard to get to. It's warm now and it wouldn't be to long before he starts to rot - and stink. I really need to clean out the garage...
